Welcome to Dalton State’s Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools reaffirmation of accreditation web site.  This site was developed to assist the internal review subcommittees in their preparation of DSC’s QEP and Compliance Report, and to inform the College community and the external review committees of the work of the faculty, staff, and administrators in their evaluation and assessment of the state of the College.

Since offering its first classes in 1967, the College has remained steadfast in providing Northwest Georgia’s citizens broad access to quality higher education.  In its mission statement, the College affirms its commitment to build upon its strengths to remain “one of the most academically-respected, student-oriented, and community-centered institutions of its kind” and includes a core commitment to work toward “continuous improvement in all aspects of its operation through the use of inclusive, participatory planning and meaningful assessment.”

The Dalton State College community embraces the reaffirmation process and its opportunities to publicly and formally evaluate what we have accomplished and to renew our efforts in seeking excellence in challenging times.
